Stand With Crypto Applauds U.S. Department of Justice Announcement on Money Transmission Policy
New policy will protect good-faith crypto developers from criminal liability and enable further innovation

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Stand With Crypto, America’s leading crypto advocacy organization, today applauded the U.S. Department of Justice’s announcement regarding money transmission policy that will shield good-faith developers from criminal liability.
Following the announcement, Juan Suarez, Stand with Crypto board chairman, released the following statement:
“We are pleased to hear of the DOJ’s new policy that it will no longer bring unlicensed money transmitting business criminal charges against software developers who contribute to open-source projects. This policy is an important step forward in clarifying that good-faith crypto developers will not face criminal liability for third party use of crypto software.”
