Stand With Crypto Launches Federal PAC And Issues First Endorsements
May 10, 2024
Washington, DC - Stand With Crypto, the nonprofit and nonpartisan organization dedicated to mobilizing American cryptocurrency owners and innovators into a powerful advocacy force, today announced the creation of an affiliated federal Political Action Committee (PAC), the Stand With Crypto PAC. The Stand With Crypto PAC will raise money from the crypto community for political action, make direct contributions to pro-crypto candidates for federal office, and endorse candidates for federal office.
"Launching this federal PAC will take Stand With Crypto's advocacy on behalf of crypto voters to the next level," said Stand With Crypto Chief Strategist Nick Carr. "SWC is already 440,000 advocates strong nationwide and is growing every day, and this PAC will allow our members to have an even louder voice in both DC-based decision making and in November's elections. Crypto voters are diverse and bipartisan, and are looking for candidates on both sides of the aisle to support in November."
Concurrent with its launch, the Stand With Crypto PAC is issuing its first endorsements of the election cycle today. The candidates are running in open seats and have demonstrated an impressive knowledge of and commitment to crypto and blockchain innovation in America. Crypto voters are a nonpartisan and diverse constituency that transcend geographical and political lines, and Stand With Crypto's first endorsements reflect that.
The first group of endorsed candidates is:
- Shomari Figures, Democrat running for Congress in Alabama's Second District
- Eddy Morales, Democrat running for Congress in Oregon's Third District
- Troy Downing, Republican running for Congress in Montana's Second District
- Jim Banks, Republican running for Senate in Indiana
- Jim Justice, Republican running for Senate in West Virginia
